Spring is Sprung

Well Spring is here in all its glory the flowers are beautiful and the trees are so many shades of green. The Victoria Day weekend signals the official beginning of a busy summer season. Our camper "Nellie" is getting her toilet fixed and hopefully we can go camping again soon. I had a wonderful day last Sunday (May 16) with my sister checking out some camp grounds and going to several "dollar" type stores. This Saturday (May 22) we (DH and DS)did the local garage sales and I picked up some things for Christmas gifts and some beads for my latest renewed hobby. Last Monday night we went to the Symphony in Ottawa and next Friday (May 28) we are going to Rama to see Riverdance. On June 2 we have tickets to see Cats. This week Christopher and TJ will be visiting and next Sunday Meghan and I are going to a jewellery workshop. Thank goodness I have my June prizes and Mega Kit done for RAKScraps! Life is good.

Another Busy Week

The jewellery party last Thursday was a success even though we only had 2 visitors in the evening. We had lots of daytime visitors and everyone who came bought something and some even bought 2 or more things. I hope Meghan has another party at home. This week starts with choir practice Monday night, work on Tuesday and Wednesday and a trip to the casino on Thursday to see a famous magician. Work on Friday and hopefully a weekend away ending with the symphony orchestra concert on Monday night.

shopping and pictures

We went to Cornwall via Stittsville and Greely and Chrsler on the weekend and stopped at all the places we could find to buy beads plus GD Meghan went to the bead store in Ajax and bought me lots of goodies. I will be spending all night tonight sorting and ooing and awing over my loot. Then I have to make more stuff! What fun I will have! Here are the pictures I promised.

Jewellery Party

Well it has been a busy week making necklaces and earring sets. Granddaughter Meghan is having a jewellery show and sale at my house on Thursday. There will be two time slots. 11:30 am for a light lunch and 7:00 pm for tea and dessert. I have been making sets to augment her inventory. I also made two glasses holders one is a necklace with a circle for the glasses and the other is the traditional chain. I will try and get some photos up at the beginning of the week.
Going shopping tomorrow and I can't wait. Now that tax season pressure has eased a bit I might get out more.
