Christopher cooked up a wonderful brunch. I called Sean and made arrangements to meet him.  We went to a couple of Flea Markets and picked up a few things. We met Sean with Gillian and Stephen for lunch at Tim Horton's where they gave me a beautiful potted plant for Mother's Day. Then we headed towards home. Stopped in Perth and got the unit I needed for the kitchen as well as a tea pot and a jar of buttons. (See my other Blog) Stopped for hamburger and fries in Kaladar and got home around 7. Beautiful sunny day

Another lovely day and I got 4 loads of washing done and dried on the line. Put the new cupboard in place and transferred all the microwave dishes into it. The other stand will go in the someday garage sale. Made a hamburger cauliflower casserole for supper. It was OK but used egg and milk next time I will use cream soup.

Work as usual and stop at BH for coffee. Another nice day. Got more washing done. John made a stir fry for supper. Finished more necklaces. Started adding beads to thread to do next.

A sort of rainy, sun cloud day. Went to work as always. Had Pizza foe supper. Emptied a box of spices and started sorting them. They need new labels.  Been watching all the finales on TV. Got a lot of DVR to watch too. Strung some more beads. Christopher called to say the boys will not be coming this weekend :(

Spent a lot of the day sorting, re-bottling and labeling spices. Went for coffee in the afternoon. Updated my Play Book and updated the pictures. John made spaghetti with bulk store Alfredo sauce to which we added chicken. Not bad.  John went to his Lion's meeting. Cool but sunny.

Went to Mass and then work till noon. Met Brian & Dorothy for lunch and looked at a zillian pictures from their trip. They had a great time but the travel there and back was very long. Stopped at a couple of yard sales on the way home and got some Red Rose mini teapots among other things. Pictures will be on my other Blog over the next few days.

Hung some laundry out. All caught up. Very nice day

Up at 7 to go garage saleing! Breakfast at the Lion's booth (back bacon, egg & cheese on a bun). Coffee break at 11 and home at noon for peanut butter sandwich. John went back to the Town hall to cook and prepare for the supper. I put away a lot of our treasures and started filling the shelves in the laundry room with linens and things. John has taken over the counter and drawers where the cross stitch was as his area and I got the shelves opposite the washing machine. Went to the Spaghetti Supper and sat with Tom and Joyce. John W cooked us a wonderful brunch and Meghan picked me up so we could start our Bead Bop. First stop Rideau Art & Bead in Kemptville where we found a few treasures. Then to Canadian Tire and Dollarama and the Bulk Barn where we got some wonderful teas. We hit the road to go to Stittsville and the Dragon's Lair. The lady from Renfrew who has closed her shop had her things there too. We had a lot to look at and did not leave empty handed! We met John at Meghan's town house and he had a nap while we played with our beads and things. I did 2 Kumihimo braids. We barbequed small sausage stuffed  peppers and Momma burgers which we had with a salad for supper. TJ came home and went to bed. We watched a movie and worked on our projects. Warm an sunny

Meghan's friend Robin joined us for the Bead Bop and we went to Canada Bead and Canada Glass and finished our Bop at McBead where Meghan works. Spent a lot of time matching cord and beads to make sets and now have lots of work to do. John went his own way and met us at the Pho House for lunch. Then on to Ikea at last! It is a huge store and we spent a lot of time looking and bought lots of kitchen gadgets, knife rack, garbage cans, jars etc. Also saw my cousin Eileen who works in the linen dept. We left Meghan at her house and hit the road for home. Stopped in Perth at Wendy's for supper. warm and sunny

Went to work as usual and had coffee after with Fr. Rain on and off washed some clothes but they didn't dry so left them on the line. Lots of computer stuff to catch up on. Going to organize a box of bead work to do watching TV. Had spaghetti for supper.

Busy work day with Confirmation letters and info to enter. Called Joan and got caught up on the news. Started to rain as we left work. The van is in getting new tires so we went home in Nellie.

Spent a long time getting jewellery organized so I can work on things in the evening and take for travelling. Phoned Joan again. Went for an afternoon coffee. A sun/cloud day cool and windy. baked chicken & potato for supper.

Went for lunch as usual and then we went shopping in Peterborough, got a gift for Taylor and a few other things then off to Rama. Met Carole and Harry and Josie and Joe and had supper a bit of gambling (lost 90 cents). John won $30.00. Then went to the show. Tran Siberian Orchestra Beethoven's Last Night. Even better than the first time. Got home just after 1:00 am.

Up at 7:00 am to hit the road by 8. Went to CW's and then to Annual Inspection. Kyrstin, Sharon, John, TJ (briefly), & Paul were there. Also Carole and her parents. The boys made me very proud to see them in their uniforms. They all did very well. Afterwards we went back to Christopher & Lori's for a BBQ and to celebrate Taylor's 13th birthday. We had a lot of fun skipping double dutch outside. I turned the ropes! Early to bed.

Another cool sunny day. All the laundry is caught up and clothes put away. Went for brunch at the Burger Hut. John working hard at Income Tax One more day to go. Roast beef with spaghetti for supper and a glass of wine.

Spent most of the day sorting and putting my jewellery into bags and containers so I don't spend hours trying to find the matching earrings! Now everything is in its special colour drawer paired up with matching earrings. Cool dull drizzly day so no laundry done. Changed the table tray and had bacon for supper.

A new month and a bit warmer. Wore a skirt to work. Went to Burger Hut for coffee after. Sorted through a lot of cross stitch stuff to get ready to take it to Meghan. Some mice damage :( Stir fry for supper.

A bit warmer, John did 2 loads of wash as they call for rain tonight and for the next 2 days. I took it off the line when I got home from work. Had Chinese for supper and sorted more cross stitch stuff.

Very warm today high in the 20's! dull and rainy but managed to get one load dried outside. Birds, chickadees I think, are enjoying the mix I made with the boys when they were here. I will try and get photos. I re-organized my decorating stash under the stairs today and sorted and boxed the last of the supplies to take to Ottawa. Most is in the van. I am also packed for the weekend. John is at a Surprise Lion's Night and I will sort out my candles while watching TV. Had leftover Chinese for supper.

A busy day at work and then Fr. joined us for lunch. After a few last minute checks we finally left on our weekend trip. First stop Sally Ann in Campbellford. I found some blue onion plates and candle holders and a lovely glass footed bowl. We found a garage sale but nothing grabbed us but we met Barb W there. On to a rummage sale where I got some dominos, a small tin and a blouse. Another flea market in Stirling where we got a cork board and small shelf and a small Maple Leafs case for John W. At the next garage sale I got a large glass jar. Then on to Kingston where we stayed at the Marriott Hotel at Kings Crossing Plaza. There were a lot of young boys 8-10 there for a hockey tournament and the pool was a zoo. We had supper at Swiss Chalet and I bought a black and white skirt at the discount store.

I got up early and went to the pool where there was only one young girl in the pool and the rest of her family in the hot tub. I let DH sleep and paddled around for nearly an hour. We packed up and had breakfast at McDonalds. We then went to Westport. John got a new hat and I bought a stone ring made of Dalmatian stone. We had a late lunch (delicious bacon potato soup) and after a stop in LG in Smiths Falls we made it to Russell. A quick ice cream cone and then we went to Mass. After Church we went to Sharon & John's for supper and the night.

A lazy day. Did some laundry. Brought the pansies inside cause they are calling for snow tomorrow! I boxed up some linen in the pizza boxes John got for me. Now to find a place to put the boxes. Still trying to get the Library organized. Baked chicken and potatoes with French dressing and parmesan cheese. Very good and enough leftovers for another meal.

Snow in the morning melted quickly but cold miserable wet day. John is very busy and I just puttered away on the computer. Cooked a pork tenderloin with parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and rosemary after brushing with garlic and mustard. Very moist and tasty. added left over potatoes and yellow beans. I made a pillow out of John's Alaska shirt.

Another snowy wet cold miserable day. Regular day at work with Fr. doing a School Mass. Made a chicken, potato, vegetable casserole which turned out very good. Meghan called and she has a week of teaching music and lots of wedding jewellery to make. Nothing on TV so went to bed early and read my book.

Much better day today with sun and cloud and a high of 10°C. Quiet day at work with Fr. away. Washed some more linen and hope to see the end of it soon! Sausages in a bun and salad for supper.  Nancy called and they had a great trip. Finished Big Bad Wolf by James Patterson and went to bed early Nothing on TV.

Back to the miserable weather. I talked to Joseph on Facebook and there is nothing new with him. Same old problems. Nancy and Joyce picked me up and we went to Burger Hut for coffee. Made a left over pork casserole with a touch of curry for supper. It was very good. Lots of TV tonight.

Quiet busy day at work. Went to Burger Hut for lunch. Sun came out so did some laundry. Still cool high of 8°C.Cleaning and sorting shelves. Why do we have Lee Valley catalogues going back to 2006? Found a treasure when I was going through the piles. A cookbook Sharon had made in 1973 when she was in grade 1. Harry & Carole stopped by and we had tea. Talked to Sharon on MSN.

Went to the Lioness Garden Lunch with Nancy & Laurie. The Speaker was from Griffin's Greenhouses and she was very entertaining and informative. I bought a "Trixi" Three plants in one pot called Blueberry Parfait. Laurie & Nancy came here after so Laurie could see the kitchen. We have decided to paint the purchased cupboards black. Went to Mass in Norwood. Meghan called and we discussed the Bead Bop.

I woke everyone up so we could go to 9 am Mass in Havelock and then have breakfast at the Burger King. We then sent Grandpa back to his desk and continued on to Oakville to see Taylor play for the Provincial Bronze medal. Unfortunately her team didn't win but they were fourth in Ontario and that is very good. Kyrstin's team had been eliminated on Saturday but just getting to Provincials is amazing. Afterwards we went to Sherway Garden's Mall and had supper in the food court. The boys did some shopping and I checked out Pottery Barn but it was boring. On the way home I got dropped off in Cobourg and John and I went to visit Dianna and Gayle and then home again. A busy weekend. warm foggy and damp

A very very windy day. I got two loads of laundry done but nearly got blown into the neighbour's yard hanging it up. Sorted through a couple of boxes from the dinning room and sorted and boxed some of the linen Put some yard sale things on the front porch and but away the porch Christmas things. Leftovers for supper. sun and cloud warm.

Ice on the windshield this morning. Only worked till 12:30 as I had an appointment with my gynecologist for a pap test. Have to go back in 3 months. We went shopping and got some treasures and a new light for the kitchen. John bought a TV for his office. I am not happy about it. After visiting John's client we had supper at Red Lobster. We met Brian & Dorothy at the Burger Hut for lunch and then they came and had a look at the Kitchen. Nice warm day so  got lots of laundry done and fixed up the day bed on the back porch. John went to Lions in the evening.

Busy day at work and we went to the Burger Hut for lunch with Carole and Fr. and left from there with Carole to go to the Motel in Orillia. we shared a bottle of wine and then had a nap before going to Rama for supper with Jean and Bud. A couple of hours on the penny machine (lost $1.00) and then we went to see Gordon Lightfoot. It was a great show with all the familiar songs. Afterwards we gambled a bit (lost .90) to let the crowd (7,000) disperse and then shared another bottle of wine at the motel and called it a

night. dull with rain in the night.

Got up around 8:00am and met Harry and Carole at McDonalds for breakfast. On the way home we stopped at the Barn but didn't buy anything. Stopped at Fabricland and got heat resistant padding for an ironing board and went to Dollar Mania for a few things. We visited Joan for a few minutes and stopped at the Lion's park to pick up our rain barrel. Home at noon! Went to Mass at5:00 and had the usual for supper. cold and damp. new moon

Happy Easter! A quiet day I did lots of laundry mostly linens. I have to wash it all because of the dust from the construction. I finally have it all in one place and will sort decide what to keep. I did a pork roast in the crock pot for supper. I sorted through a couple Uncle Bill boxes and put a lot of photos in the recycle as they have no meaning to anyone (so sad). Also recycled all his travel brochures from his many trips. I found some rosary's he had bought in Fatama. lovely sunny day.

Sorted through a couple of boxes from the dining room. Finished washing all the small pieces of linen. Lots of tablecloths still to do. Meghan phoned called and we went over the order so she knows what we need. I made a Mexican rice dish with the left over pork for supper. Meghan called again and she is sending the parcel tomorrow. Very windy and dull but didn't rain.

After work we had coffee with Paul and went to the bank. We then drove into Peterborough I went to Michael's and got some bargains and after 3 tries got wood trim for the kitchen ceiling. Went to Cosco and had supper there and got a some groceries and then spent lots of money at Dollarama. We went to the mall and I got gifts for Philip and Kyrstin and we returned the movie tickets and got 4 special events tickets in exchange. Didn't get home till after 9. cool and rain.

After work I got my hair cut at Nadine's and we went to Dave and Mary's to pay the bill for the Island. Dave had brought the last drawer front this morning. I made a potato & green been and hamburger casserole which was a do again supper. John stained the cupboards funny day with sun and rain on and off cool.

Beautiful day. Got lots of laundry done. Parcel from Meghan arrived and Mary & Dave stopped by so she got her supplies. Nancy was here and I gave her Joyce and her things.  We sat and had a cup of spiced tea. My summer skirts (19) are paired with 2 tops and hanging up in my wardrobe. I made a ground beef and broccoli casserole similar to yesterdays but didn't like how it was layered. I will probably do my own version from here on in. sunny

Crazy day at work with lots of people and interruptions. John helped fold bulletins and I saved some things for next Tuesday. Went to the Burger Hut for lunch. It opened today Hurray! Got 4 more loads of wash done. My slacks (13), capri's (7) and skorts (3) are all paired with 2 tops and hanging in the bathroom closet. I put 5 pair of track pants with 2 tops each in my bottom drawer. I have 5 tops left over! Jackets and sweaters and dresses are another problem as I have run out of closet space. That is a hard job done. All my winter things are piled on Sharon's bed ready to be put away. John did a stir fry for supper and I made no bake chocolate peanut butter squares. Christopher and boys arrived at 9:40 pm.

A fun busy day. Christopher & Philip dismantled the homemade bunk bed in the boys room and we took the mattresses and other junk to the dump. Philip then cleaned the back stairs too. The twins made memory wire bracelets while I did some work for my friend Nancy. We made hummingbird food and a suet cake for the birds. After a nice ham and scalloped potato with roasted veggies dinner (Oh and of course spaghetti & cheese) we left Grandpa at his desk and went to visit my sister Aunt Joan. We also saw Luke & Kendra and their new puppy Argo. When we got home Christopher and I sewed badges on cadet uniforms for the twins. Nature pulled an April fool on us as it snowed over night and today has been a dull cold wet day. Got stuff ready to mod pog a box and thinking of pillow covers for the porches. Went to the Multi-denominational Service at our Church and our choir sang Jerusalem. It was a nice service with ministers from all the Churches reading parts of the passion of Christ interspersed with choirs from each Church and the St, Paul's School choir. Meghan called and she is all finished with her studies and looking forward to some me time. cool and damp

I tea died paper for my box and have been working on a patch work pillow cover. Gayle, Diana and Michael were here for John to do their taxes and then we had Chinese for supper. It was a nice visit. Sean phoned to say Gillian has been accepted at U of T for International Development. She is waiting to hear from other Universities before she decides where she will go. Charlie is doing Kayaking and bouncer near Pembroke for the summer. Stephen is still enjoying his horseback riding. Nice day got 4 loads of laundry dry on the line.

I spent a lot of the day working on my mod pog box. The ugly pink/purple box is now paper covered with lace and buttons. You can see it on my other Blog; Organized Chaos http://ontarioorganizedchoas.blogspot.ca/ . Meghan phoned and she will mail the jewellery on Tuesday. I bought flowers to spread around the house. John went to his Lions dinner (kids night) Sunny but still on the cool side.

Good Friday. Christopher phoned and he and the boys are coming to visit next Friday. Hooray!!! Dave was here and brought me the cut out from the sink transformed into a large board to protect the island. He also checked the sizes for the cupboards and he will install them on Monday. We will have to stain and finish them. Went to Church at 3 pm in Norwood. John hung the curtains in the dining room and reversed the door back the way it was originally and put crystal knobs on it. I have been working on the obits from the paper I am a year behind! Joan called and we had a great chat. Still sunny and cool. Full moon tonight.

Dave called to say he was coming today instead of Monday and he and Mary arrived around 11 am. He spent a lot of time fitting and attaching the doors and drawer fronts and one drawer had to go home with him to be resized, We still have to stain and finish them. John bought us all sandwiches from Foodland and they left around 3 pm. Mary bought some floss and ordered Kumihimo boards for her grandchildren. Did some more obits and John worked on filling the spaces on the reversed door. We had the Saturday night special and went to Church in Norwood for the Easter Vigil. Afterwards we went to Tom & Joyce's for a visit with the Trappers and played Romoli. Beautiful warm sunny day.
